This week, we learned about our 5 senses while focusing on the sense of touch. As mentioned on the previous post, our song of the week was "5 Senses," found here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA1uLc1uEbI
We made our "My Touch Books" and use vocab words such as "soft, hard, bumpy, smooth, sticky, rough, and spongy."

This coming week's (week of 9/28) will be on "taste" and "smell" and inviting the students to taste items that are "sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and umami (yes, umami!); these will also be our vocabulary words for the week, so please emphasize these taste words at home. Speech will be working on the "m" sound. Our song of the week is a silly one found here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frN3nvhIHUk&spfreload=10&edufilter=zGUy2baYqkDZkZN3MS9B7Q. You can even emphasize the words in this song with your child "(Thumbs up) Yes I do!" and "(Thumbs down) No I don't!" Have fun!!!
