We concluded our "Physical Me" theme this week by inviting the students to partake in some very cool activities:
Based off of Eric Carle's book "From Hed to Toe," we "bend our necks like a girraffe"
We then invited them to work on some very special puzzles. Working on language, vocabulary (head, shoulders, arms, legs), recognizing their name as well as peer's names, and fine motor skills has never been as fun:
We enjoyed using our legs to kick and arms to throw a ball during PE with Mr George:
Having some laughs while on Starfall learning about our colors. That firetruck was funny!
Enjoying some play time with peers while zipping cars down the track. They came up with the idea of placing the track in different spots around the room to see how the cars react. They then added the "tunnels" to watch the cars go "in" and "under" the tunnels! A great time to use prepositions with the kids!
Next week's theme revolves around "My 5 Senses" and we will begin by focusing on "Touch." Here is the song we'll be working on:
Targeted vocabulary will include "hear," "touch," "smell," "taste," and "see." Please be sure to carry over these vocab words as you interact with your child outside of school.
